彩畫藝術班
本社有感中國優良之傳統文化、特色及傳統藝術聞名於世；而早期移民來美之優秀份子亦落地生根，其後代在美國土生土長，對中國文化有漸漸所遺失！為了推廣、發揚中國藝術，本社榮幸地邀請了旅美藝術畫家蘇敏儀老師開設彩畫藝術班，傳揚中國文化。有興趣者請到本社事務處登記報名：

上課時間：下午一時半至三時半
上課地點：本社20號二樓圖書館
學員資格：成人或兒童均可（兒童須六歲以上）

老師簡介：
蘇老師從國畫前輩郭燕嶠學習意境山水後，其蘭心蕙質更顯現衽紙墨之間，對於畫面之引現更有獨到的哲學，又獲多位名師指點，其心領神會顯見於作品之中。
旅美後，就學於山麓學院，探研西畫投影之原理，素描人體，觀察山水遠近層次雲霧山巔之淡入淡出，更為其獨有之習識。
    其近期作品受指點於吳曼君女士，恣意領会自趙少昂以强降最具嶺南風格之真傳。其山水則由自然寫生，抒發為潑水走墨，就教於創意畫家何遠鳴先生，自創一格。
    現為美國東方藝術學会会員，中華藝術學会永久会員，以及庫佰提諾市藝術協会会員。並於一九九八年聯展時獲評審於該次展出之第二名。
    近年來用心於推展灣區習畫風潮，一九九七年舉辦畫展義賣，為第十三屆華人運動會籌款，一九九八年師大校友會藝展，及心馥畫廊灣區黃絲帶藝術聯展等等成績斐然。事實上為少數之觀其畫則欲見人畫家之一。

Oils by Joy Kuo:
Joy’s fine art oil paintings come from her eastern roots but are dearly her western branches reaching skyward. Blending brush-work techniques into forward-moving composition. She advances her work toward the promise of an all-encompassing future.
